This season was full of...well...keyboard smashes. Good ones and bad ones.
Let's revisit some after the jump.

Nothing To Lose
Welp. The Penguins are down 3-0. 40 goal scorer James Neal is out. PK extraordinaire Craig Adams is out. Arron Asham is out. Paul Martin is out (not that anyone is really upset about that). But somehow, there's a buzz that if the Penguins can somehow find themselves, they can still win this series. And that's how it should be. This series is first to four, and no one has won 4 yet.
The Penguins obviously haven't had the results they wanted against the Flyers, but they did win 2 regular season games. One in Philadelphia. After losing 3 straight games to Philly, the Pens stepped in to the Wells Fargo Center and scored 3 quick goals in the third to break Bryzgolov and win 6-4. If the Pens can find what they did in that third period early in this game, and HOLD THE LEAD, this series will go another game.
Play likes there's no tomorrow and you'll live to play another day.
Comeback starts now.
Let's Go Pens.

Hockey Night: Game 2 vs Flyers
Penguins vs Flyers
7:30pm
Consol Energy Center
So Game 1 wasn't the outcome we expected after the first period. The Pens let the game slip away, and before they knew it, they were in overtime. Everyone watching that game knew what was going to happen, but those rooting for the Penguins hoped their team would somehow get out alive.
But it's on to the next one. No one ever said or expected one of these teams to sweep the other. It's no time to get all jammed up about some not call on an offsides. They didn't blow the whistle. There's nothing you can do about it. Now is where the 'guins get back on track. Anyone that has watched this team for more than 8 seconds knows that they always find a way to bounce back. Let's hope they do it again in what seems to be a pivotal Game 2.
This is where we get back on track. If the Pens play with the intensity they did in the first 20 and they can get on the plus side of special teams, expect this series to head to Philly tied 1-1.
Need to take advantage of home ice. Hopefully Consol is even louder than the first game.
16 wins away.

The Last 10
Just as expected, the Eastern Conference race is as tight as Richard Simmons' gym shorts. After getting no help from the Red Wings, the Penguins currently trail the Rangers by 3 points, but have a game in hand. After the jump is a look at the last 10 games.
